What is Cloud Hosting?

What is Cloud Hosting?

Though cloud hosting has been around for a while, a majority of the internet users are not aware of what it is. In fact, you might not have heard this term before now. Basically, cloud hosting is computing through the internet. A grid or network is created and information, software and other resources are shared between all the nodes in that grid. Another name for it is cloud computing. The term cloud hosting was derived from the cloud shaped symbol which is used to signify the internet when creating a flowchart or diagram.

There are many cloud services which have been started up as the demand for cloud hosting has increased over the past couple of years. Microsoft cloud is one of the most sought-after cloud hosting services which are being used around the globe.

A cloud host provides services using internet as the medium. The services are hosted by the cloud and are delivered on demand to related computers. There are three types of services which are provided by a cloud hosting service.

1.Platform as a Service (PaaS)

2.Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)

3.Software as a Service (SaaS)

There are two types of cloud hosting.

Private

Cloud services which provide hosted services to a limited number of people are known as private cloud hosts. It can be in the form of a proprietary network or a data center.

Public

A cloud host who will cater to the needs of anyone on the internet is called a public cloud.

Regardless of the type of cloud services being offered, the aim is the provision of access to the shared resources and IT services which are present in the cloud. There are instances when public cloud resources are used by a hosting service to create its own private cloud. In this case, it will be called a virtual private cloud.

The cost of obtaining cloud hosting services will be determined by the quantity and not quality of the service being provided. Therefore, businesses can expect to have a pretty standard amount which would not vary. It will be like the monthly utility bills.

So, what is the difference between traditional hosting and cloud hosting? There are three characteristics of cloud hosting which separates it from traditional hosting.

You can obtain the services you want on demand. You can either have it on per minute or a per hour basis.

You can decide how much of the service you want to avail because you will have to pay according to the quantity.

All you need to have is a computer with a working internet connection because all management will be done by the cloud services provider.

This was an overview of cloud hosting and how you can avail it.

Naming Your eBook !

ebooks naming guide - adlerexpertFormatting, publishing and promotion are essential to the success of an eBook. However, there is one more component which needs to be put into place before all of these can be done. That step is naming the eBook. On the face if it, choosing a title seems to be an easy enough task. It is not rocket science but the title holds a lot of importance. You have to select carefully. You cannot just choose the first name that comes to mind.

Here are a few tips to help you choose an effective title for your eBook.

Catchy

The title has to be catchy and interesting so that people are attracted towards it. Boring and drab titles can ruin a potential bestseller. Even if you have written brilliant content, unless your name is attractive, few people will take notice of it. You need to keep your target audience in mind while choosing the name. If you are writing for middle-aged people, don’t choose amateurish titles that are more in line with teen books.

Unique

A unique titled is a double-edged sword. Not only do you ensure that your book stands out from the rest, but also saves from getting caught up in legal entanglements over copyright law and name disputes. Check beforehand that the title you are choosing for your eBook isn’t registered to someone or else you would be held for contempt of law.

Abstract

Keep it simple. That is the bottom-line when it comes to naming your eBook. Don’t choose an abstract and misleading title unless the content demands so. Make sure that your title reflects what you have written inside the book.

Relevance

This point carries on from the previous one. The title of your book has to mirror the content of your book. When a person looks at the title, he/she should be able to grasp what you are trying to say or preach through your book.

Domain

Since the book will be in a digital format, creating an online buzz for it is important. The best step to take here is to register a name corresponding to the title of your eBook. This helps in targeting a larger audience for your book. This step has to be taken before you select the final title for your book.

Don’t just think of one or two titles. Make a list of titles, as long as you can and then eliminate the ones you think aren’t good enough before zeroing in on one. These tips will help you choose a title that completely suits your eBook as well as facilitate its promotion and marketing.
