A cloud host provides services using internet as the medium. The services are hosted by the cloud and are delivered on demand to related computers. There are three types of services which are provided by a cloud hosting service.

2.Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
3.Software as a Service (SaaS)
There are two types of cloud hosting.
Private
Cloud services which provide hosted services to a limited number of people are known as private cloud hosts. It can be in the form of a proprietary network or a data center.
Public
A cloud host who will cater to the needs of anyone on the internet is called a public cloud.
Regardless of the type of cloud services being offered, the aim is the provision of access to the shared resources and IT services which are present in the cloud. There are instances when public cloud resources are used by a hosting service to create its own private cloud. In this case, it will be called a virtual private cloud.
The cost of obtaining cloud hosting services will be determined by the quantity and not quality of the service being provided. Therefore, businesses can expect to have a pretty standard amount which would not vary. It will be like the monthly utility bills.
So, what is the difference between traditional hosting and cloud hosting? There are three characteristics of cloud hosting which separates it from traditional hosting.
You can obtain the services you want on demand. You can either have it on per minute or a per hour basis.
You can decide how much of the service you want to avail because you will have to pay according to the quantity.
All you need to have is a computer with a working internet connection because all management will be done by the cloud services provider.
